Likewise Pelalawan regency, Rokan Hilir regency was also the fommer section of Kampar regency. Rokan Hilir area includes the Sumateran tropical forest areas which are very vast and important for natural conservation. One of the forest areas being stipulated as Natural and Biological conservation area is BUKIT SULIGI forest, which is also very beautiful and potential as a tourist destination.
- BUKIT SULIGI
This is a preservation forest located in the Subdistricts of Tandun and Rokan IV Koto, 135 kms from the provincial city, Pekanbaru. Covering an area of about 3.000 hectares, the forest is home to varieties of rare flora and fauna. Here adventure lovers may also find heaven in the existence of hot springs, natural caves, waterfalls, brooks and footpath scattered around which are all enjoyable to explore.
