THE SYMBOL RIAU PROVINCE
Form and Part of the Symbol

The symbol of Riau Province is in the form of four parts:
  1. Number of chain in 45 links covering all the symbol.
  2. 17 Grains of rice and 8 flowers of cotton.
  3. Lancang Kuning (sail boat) with sea and 5 waves.
  4. Kris with parakeet head.
The word " RIAU " is written inside the symbol with red color

Color of the Symbol

    The first color used are green, yellow and white, beside using a little black and red color.
The meaning of the four part o the symbol are:
  1. The unsevered 45 links, symbolizing the unity of nation and proclaimed ir 1945, the Indonesian Republic Proclamation year
  2. Rice and cotton, symbolizing the we fare food and clothing), 17 grain of ricereferring to the proclamation day, 17August.
  3. Lancang Kuning, Symbolizing the grandeur of Riau people, whereas sogok lancang with fist head symbolize that Riau produces much fist and provide sea lives sources. Five layers of wave symbolize Pancasila as ideology of Indonesia.
  4. Kris with Parakeet Head symbolize the heroism of Riau people based on wisdom and truth.
